KBCCS has endorsed the ABA BPO training programs and is supporting ABA’s nationwide talent-pool development program, which is actually a part of the BCI Mission Million program in which worldwide, by 2012, 1 million fresh BPO talents shall be available to the global BPO industry. JOMO KENYATTA UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE & TECHNOLOGY
Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology is situated in Juja, 36 kilometres North East of Nairobi, along Nairobi-Thika Highway.
It was started in 1981 as a Middle Level College (Jomo Kenyatta College of Agriculture and Technology (JKCAT)) by the Government of Kenya with the generous assistance from the Japanese Government. On 1st September 1988, H.E. Daniel Arap Moi, declared JKCAT a constituent College of Kenyatta University through a legal Notice, under the Kenyatta University Act (CAP 210C). The name of JKCAT officially changed to Jomo Kenyatta University College of Agriculture and Technology (JKUCAT). It was finally established as a University through the JKUAT Act, 1994 and inaugurated on 7th December 1994.

AFRICAN ADVANCED LEVEL TELECOMMUNICATIONS INSTITUTE
During the 1970’s there were a number of United Nations Development Programs (UNDP) supported projects developed by International Telecommunications Union (ITU). These projects were meant to assist African governments to set up their own centers for basic telecommunications training. A proposal to establish an advanced level training institute for the countries of Eastern and Southern Africa to complement the action already taken in the sub-regions was adapted and funded for in 1987.
African Advanced Level of Telecommunications Training Institute (AFRALTI) was then established as an Intergovernmental Institute to provide advanced level training opportunities to middle and senior level management staff in both technical and managerial positions in the telecommunications sector in Eastern and Southern Africa.
In 2002, the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) designated and supported AFRALTI to develop into a center of excellence in the provision of ICT solutions to Organizations in English Speaking African Countries, further broadening its roles to include; provision of Consultancy Services, acting as a focal point for regional information society initiatives, center for seminars colloquia, symposiums and a hub for network of regional training institutions in the information Communication Technologies (ICT) sector, in addition to the initial role of providing advanced training for the telecommunication sector.
